Shifting Gears

Updated: Jan 6, 2023

I'm a new writer around here, so let me introduce myself: I'm Lyndsay Stanley and I have been working with Anne as her Editor and Book Promoter for about two years. We started our journey together by brainstorming, outlining, and writing her memoir and children's book. It has been an absolute pleasure to guide her on her journey toward being an author.

The last few months have been centered around ensuring that Anne's newest release, Cruz Finds His Way, is perfect and ready for publication.

After a successful book launch and a startling amount of interest from reviewers and bloggers, we can take a well-earned break and 'shift gears'.

To Anne's Memoir

There's always something new to write about. There's always something new to learn about the world around us and the world within us. Who am I? Who are you? Who do you want to be?

These are the questions that I'm sure raced around Anne's mind when she first [bravely] thought of writing her memoir. As most people can imagine, it's no easy task to write

about yourself, your life, your innermost thoughts, and your honest impressions of life. But when you have a story to tell that can help others, well, there is a burden to tell that story. And that's what Anne felt.

Last September we [Anne & I ] finished writing and editing the first draft of the memoir. It was a long process, but an enjoyable one. We gathered a few reviews and comments from friends, and co-workers to get a sense of what we can expect from the market, and we were pleased with the results. Although, it did mean that we went back to the 'drawing page' again and added some additional and much-needed content.

Going back to the writing and editing stage can be hard after a year, but the break will likely yield exceptional results. You can thank us later!

What to Expect Next

As we are shifting our mindset towards finishing Anne's memoir, we'll also be shifting our blog content back to life coaching tips. We've curated a list of life experiences that most people can expect to come across sometime in their life and have welcomed several professionals to discuss those topics with us. Stay Tuned!

Authentically,

Lyndsay Stanley
